TICKET TO WORK PROGRAM
WHAT IS THE TICKET TO WORK PROGRAM?
The Ticket to Work Program was created in 1999 to provide Social Security disability beneficiaries, aged between 18 and 64 with job placement services. The mission was to help people with disabilities get back into the workforce, increase their earnings, and become financially independent.
Eligible Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries assign their Tickets to a SSA-authorized support service, including non-profit agencies and private Employment Networks (EN) to obtain job placement services.
THE PROGRAM IS COMPLETELY FREE & VOLUNTARY
By participating, beneficiaries making good progress toward their employment goals are not required to have a Continuing Medical review of their disability.
The program provides a gradual transition back to part-time or full-time work without risking the beneficiary’s cash or Medicare/Medicaid health care benefits.

MEO is an Employment Network (EN) that can provide employment support such as helping with job counseling and job coaching. We provide job placement services as well, with assistance from you to determine the best pathway to meaningful employment.
