HOW TO CREATE SOCIAL SECURITY ‘MY ACCOUNT’ ON-LINE
It is now possible for Social Security beneficiaries to verify benefits on-line by creating a ‘my account’ on SSA.gov. This account provides access to benefit amounts, Medicare start date and earnings. Other uses include changing address and phone number and direct deposit information. A Benefits verification letter can also be obtained to provide proof of the following: proof of Income (when applying for a loan, mortgage, assisted housing, or benefits) • Current Medicare health insurance coverage; • Retirement or disability status; • Age.

OBTAINING BENEFITS PLANNING QUERY (BPQY):
It is absolutely essential that you as a beneficiary know the complete status of your ticket and earnings. The BPQY reveals the most recent information recorded by the Social Security Administration and provides an analysis of disability cash benefits, health insurance, scheduled medical reviews, earnings, and work history.

It is extremely important for all clients to report earnings and employment changes to Employment Options AND your local Social Security office. Not reporting your income to the SSA regularly could result in over-payment status and cause a reduction or loss of disability benefits. Your local SSA office should have a Ticket to Work claims rep.

*’NEW’ SSI CLIENTS:
If you are receiving Medicaid benefits, you will need to go to your local Medicaid office and apply for Medicaid 1619(b). This is a form that you must fill out for continued Medicaid coverage after you begin work and before your first pay check. This will enable you to keep your Medicaid coverage even when you are above the threshold for earnings. If you have questions, please reach out to your assigned counselor.
We love to reward our clients for their hard work with fun ideas! We have multiple contests in place to help reward and encourage you!
