This company is a fast-growing electronics manufacturer, looking to add a full-time Junior IT Customer Support Specialist to our team. This position is a great opportunity to work from the comfort of your home! Hours are Monday-Friday 6pm-10pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm. Starting pay is $10 per hour.

IT Customer Support Specialist Job Duties:

  • Provides answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps.
  • Participates in development of client training programs by identifying learning issues; recommending instructional language.
  • Improves system performance by identifying problems; recommending changes.

Job Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate good judgment, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent Phone Support Ability to speak Spanish (a plus but not a requirement)
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to learn and support new technologies quickly
  • Have a good attitude and be motivated
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work patiently with people at all levels of experience and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to efficiently and logically troubleshoot a wide variety of problems
  • Detail oriented and methodical when troubleshooting issues

Additional Skills:

  • IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems.
  • Strong Knowledge and hands-on experience with troubleshooting Windows 10, 8.1, 8 and 7.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013 a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting MS Office Suites 2003/2007/2010/2013
  • Knowledge of System Recovery, diagnostic utilities and more.
  • Back up and reinstall Windows.
  • Be able to diagnose, repair, upgrade, configure and install hardware and software.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair server and desktop-related equipment and software for PCs, peripherals, laptops, printers, Remote Desktop Connections.
  • Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity.
  • Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation and removal.
  • Answer phone calls from clients to resolve various technology related issues through phone and remote tech support.
  • Perform hardware and software repairs of laptops and desktops within the office.
  • Knowledge of Linux operation systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and/or PHP is a plus.
  • A+ certification required.
