KEY ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Sr. Credit Analyst or Sr. Lender.
  • Works closely with all lenders, other credit analysts, financial analyst, customers, and vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides support of loan lenders and officers through financial statement spreading and analysis of new loan requests and existing credit relationships.
  • Accurately prepares loan documents.
  • Under direction, prepares formal loan proposals, risk ratings and loan pricing worksheets which summarize the total relationship and a complete financial overview to include ratio and trend analysis.
  • Provides additional loan agreement/covenant monitoring support to commercial lending and underwriting groups.
  • Provides on-going portfolio assistance through spreading on-going required financial statements as they are received from the Bank’s customers.
  • Ensures all documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable.
  • The monitoring of the portfolio which includes but not limited to financial tracking and monitoring maturing notes/annual reviews.
  • Requesting and obtaining all information needed from the client or prospect to underwrite the credit request.
  • Participate in discussions and subsequent meetings with loan officers and other credit analyst to exchange information and ideas, and to seek to understand the opinions of others.
  • Assist in coordinating the tickler system. Manage the files for final completion documents on all transactions, on-going financial statements, tax returns, and other tickler items.
  • Monitor all credits are risk rated, and that risk ratings remain commensurate with the quality of the credit as supported by file and financial information.
  • Ability to take payments, look up balances and interest rates.
  • Prepare Right to Cure notices on installment or real estate loans on an ongoing basis for 30+ day delinquencies or as otherwise directed by Loan Committee.
  • Assist lenders in managing their portfolios, pull credit reports, pull flood determinations, and order appraisals. Efficiently prepare Laser Pro loan documents to assist lenders, ensuring they are prepared correctly, accurately and enforceable.
  • Attend loan committee to learn and assist lenders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and customers.
  • Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software. Solid understanding of lending products and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; or 2-4 experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in process evaluation or comparable experience.
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
