The Technical Support Lead will provide IT support to the Technical Accessibility Services (TAS) department. The TAS department works on web auditing, document remediation, transcription including proofreading and editing, and captioning in order to make documents, videos, recordings, and web sites accessible to people with disabilities in compliance with Section 508 requirements and company standards.

This position will primarily serve as a Technical Support Lead to the department but will also back up high volume projects and assist the department Team Leads as needed.

Position Duties:

 Maintains server, communications software, and documentation systems.

 Maintains company website.

 Maintains tracking system and SVN Repository.

 Troubleshooting of technical issues with server side software.

 Reviews client orders for clarity and pre-screens client documents prior to accessibility work.

 Distributes incoming orders to applicable staff.

 Tracks client orders from assignment to completion by TAS team members and notes potential issues preventing delivery by set due dates.

 Develop client and server side modules with Team Lead to enhance productivity of department.

Qualifications/Skills Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

 Excellent knowledge and skills pertaining to programming “Best Practices” (any language) including: design development – brainstorming and flowcharting, object oriented programming, and modulation required.

 Experience with Linux server administration, website development and installation on Linux and Windows OS.

 MS Office installation on networks including Outlook and Lync.

 HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, SQL queries, Python, Java, and JavaScript.

 Intermediate knowledge of W3C Markup and WCAG 2.0 Conformance.

 Intermediate experience in Trac 1.0 or better.

 Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 2010 or better.

 Intermediate skills in Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Pro XI products.

 Intermediate skills in Adobe InDesign.

 Intermediate skills in Adobe CS5 or better preferred – MS Visual Studio 2010 or better a plus.

 Excellent written communication skills including English grammar and punctuation.

 Self-motivating and an ability to work independently.

 Attention to detail and organization skills.

 MS Office including: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

 Windows 7 Professional or better OS.

 Minimum 3.0 GHz, 8 MB RAM, 1 TB hard drive,

 Ability to connect computer directly to internet modem (WIFI connection not acceptable).

 Anti-virus, and network security software.

 High speed internet connection (no satellite or wireless).
