POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of supervision, this position is responsible for accurate processing and reporting of trust payables, receivables, new and terminating accounts, securities settlements and custody, document preparation and review, records management, and trust system maintenance. Assists in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act.

KEY ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to 1st VP 401(k) Plan Specialist.
Works closely with Sr. Trust Operations Specialist, Trust Department team, clients, vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Accomplishes day-to-day account administration activities, including deposits and withdrawals of cash and assets, balancing of transactions, and interface functions.
  • Coordinates support division functions to ensure accurate and timely account activities and maintains current and accurate information on the trust computer/accounting system.
  • Responds to all internal and external client requests on a timely basis.
  • Independently handles all operations requirements of accounts.
  • Completes various memos, reports, balancing functions, and internal and external correspondence, as appropriate.
  • Reviews documentation for requirements and compliance. Responds to internal and external auditors’, financial institutions’, vendors’ and agencies’ requests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be organized, and able to monitor work for quality.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficient in accounting software and spreadsheets, mathematic and financial skills.
  • Problem solving and analysis.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in related field; 2-3 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
